I'm completing a BSc in Computer Science at the University of Technology, Jamaica. I want to grow into a software engineer focused on system architecture and design: the structure underneath a product matters as much as the interface people see.
Through MaxDef Technologies, I've taken products from an idea to a live release: setting up environments, connecting APIs, authentication, databases, and hosting, and making the parts work together. I use AI heavily for prompting and project development alongside programming and software engineering principles. After almost a year of AI project work, I still make it a point to understand what is happening under the hood.
I have over two and a half years of professional video-editing experience, alongside volunteer media work since 2019, graphic design, and IT support. Java is my strongest coding foundation; I'm still deepening my HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills. I care about secure authentication, responsible data handling, and being honest about what I know while learning what I don't.

AI is a substantial part of how I explore and build. I pair it with programming, testing, engineering principles, and an effort to understand the systems it helps me create.
More than two and a half years of professional video editing, with work across corporate promotions, church media, social reels, and event films. I primarily edit in CapCut and DaVinci Resolve.
